The Marsa LNG Bunkering Project requires permitting by the Environmental Authority (EA; previously called the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, MECA) through the Sohar Industrial Port Company (SIPC) and an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA). Five Oceans Environmental Services LLC (5OES) is an Omani registered company and has been appointed in partnership with ERM by MARSA LNG LLC to undertake the ESIA as an independent environmental consultancy.
